Courses
1- History of 12th and 18th century art. Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. Audio-visuals and videos. Lecturer Horacio Bollini. 16th July to the 17th of September.
2- History of music. From the Gregorian plain-chant to the end of the Renaisance. Lecture by Horacio Bollini with the participation of the lute-maker (and stringed instruments in general) Raul Perez and old instruments. 24th of september to the 12th of november 2003.

Films and/or Videos
1- Pre-premiere of the documentary film "Flores de Septiembre" (September Flowers). Another look at the dictatorship. 15th of September 2003. Showing in the 'Biblioteca Sarmiento' with free admission for secondary school students. Organized by the Museum, under the auspices of the General Cultural Directorate of the San Carlos de Bariloche Municipality and the General Cultural Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Rio Negro Province.
2- Videos by the photographer Alejandro Balaguer. From 2nd to the 9th of
August 2003. Films of the various journeys made by the author in different parts of Peru, Panama and the Antarctic that summarize the natural and cultural biodiversity, stressing the importance of its valuation for the present and the future of humanity. Featuring:
Nasca - Paracas. A seven day journey along the Peruvian coast, showing marine ave fauna, whale fossils, illegal collectors of pre-columbian ceramics.
Cotahuasi - Arequipa. (South Coast of Peru).

The Antarctic.3- The showing of "Rostros de la Guerra" ("Faces of the War"). Made by Alejandro Balaguer when working as press correspondent in Nicaragua. 14th of August 2003.

Activities for the disabled
Sign Language
A sign language service was put into practice for tourists and visitors with an auditive disability, who enter the museum. In order to offer the service, days and times have been co-ordinated when an interpreter will be available. Organized by Senora Corina Gómez, teacher and
interpreter of the Argentine Sign Language.
Touching the past
Patagonian archaeological workshop for pupils with visual disabliity.
Up to now, the demand is catered for on a makeshift basis. An adequate environment is being prepared (one of the temporary halls) to transmit concepts from the prehistoric past through the (tactile) exploration of archaeological objects.

Specific Conservation Activities
1- Stabilization of paper documents and objects.
2- Adequate storage of elements in accordance with current museum techniques.
3- Continuation of the classification and listing of the objects of cultural value in the different collections.
4- Commencement of the digitization of photographic collections and documents.
5- Purchase of metal furniture for collection reserves.6- Complete reorganization of the museum library: putting in order, listing of bibliographic material, stabilization of old material, exchange of material with scientific and cultural - public and private non-profit making -institutions.
7- Distribution of surplus bibliographic material to primary and secondary schools of the region and other provinces.
Activities to bring up to date and capacitate
1- Electronic course in Preventive Conservation. Historical Heritage Foundation and Argentine Information Institute. Financed by the Friends of the Museum Association.
2- Electronic Chemistry course for Conservators. Financed by the Friends of the Museum Association.
3- Participation in the three day Technical Conferences on Conservation, Exhibition and Educative Extension in Museums.Jesús María Cordoba. National Directorate of Heritage and Museums, The National University of Cordoba Anthropology Museum.
1- The Museum of the Patagonia "Francisco P. Moreno" was selected in the Antorchas Foundation 2003 museums subsidy competition, for the project "Building a shared vision."

COURSES
History of Renaissance Art course given by Horacio Bollini. Wednesdays, from the 14th of April. These are four, one and a half hour classes with slides and videos. Cost of the course:$25.
Courses to Capacitate Personnel for the A.P.N.
(National Parks Management)1- Production of course syllabus on cultural heritage to capacitate the Nahuel Huapi National Park Intendancy Personnel, to be submitted to the National Board of Human Resources of the APN and the INAP.(Nat. Parks. Management and the National Institute of Public Management). Courses to be given during 2004.
2-Production of calendar of activities for the community and activities inherent to the Museum's function for the year 2004.
